The Vision Behind Crossing the Line

A God-given call to cross the line and run the race.

Introduction

In 2002, God revealed a vision that would forever shape the direction of this ministry. What began as a personal encounter with the message of the Cross became a calling to invite others to move beyond spiritual excitement and into a life of true surrender, endurance, and obedience. This is the vision behind Crossing the Line Ministries.

The Beginning

In 2002, I received the powerful message of the Cross for sanctification. It changed and revolutionized my life and ministry. It felt like heaven on earth, and everything about my walk with the Lord was transformed.

A Call to Cross the Line

As time passed, I began to feel empty again. I wondered why I felt the same way I had before receiving this precious message. I began seeking the Lord, asking Him to show me what was happening. During this season of seeking, God gave me a vision.

In the vision, I saw a multitude of people gathered in the city square of Pachuca, Mexico. The place was packed. There was shouting, clapping, dancing, and great excitement. Someone took the microphone and announced, “Ladies and gentlemen, let’s clap our hands for our brother who is going to run the race.”

The man ran with intensity toward a yellow line painted across the road. When he reached it, he turned back to the starting place and began preparing again. Others did the same. There was movement and excitement—but no one crossed the line.

The Other Side

As I watched this repeat over and over, I sensed the presence of the Lord beside me. He said, “This is My beloved Church. I bought her with My precious blood. I love My Church deeply, but as you can see, although they are excited, no one is willing to cross the line and run the race.”

Then He asked me, “Are you willing to cross the line?”

With tears, I answered yes.

The Lord said, “There will be no applause of men on the other side. There will be no noise. But if you are willing—cross the line.”

I did not run. I simply walked across the line, and instantly I entered a different environment, the road was narrow, upward, as in a hill. The atmosphere was heavenly, filled with the presence of God. There were only a few people, spread far apart, walking, weeping in worship, and praising the Lord.

The Cost of the Call

Some were crawling, others were limping, some fell and rose again—but worship never stopped. Each one carried a rod or walking staff, like Jacob of old, representing the Cross.

As they walked, an evil presence appeared, striking one woman who fell but rose again and continued forward with praise. She now walked with a limp and carried a rod as well. When the enemy came toward me, I tried to avoid him and was successful, but then, I too was struck by this evil one and fell in pain. I was in so much pain but yet the Lord strengthened me to rise and continue pressing forward.

“You’re Almost There”

As I pressed forward, I heard the Lord say, “You’re almost there.”

At the end of the road stood a bright light—like the sun, yet not the sun. I continued walking, limping, with my staff. The vision was over, but not the call. From that day forward, I made a decision before the Lord: I would cross the line.

This vision remains the foundation of Crossing the Line Ministries and continues to guide our calling to preach Christ and Him crucified.
